Originally founded by Werner Fischer and Joerg Hoerath. Coming from Germany to retire they decided to start a new chapter in their lives, bringing a touch of Bavaria to Peachland. They opened the dining room in 1991 and expanded with the pub and lakeside patio in 2000.

In November 2018 the restaurant was bought by friend Joginder Singh who has over thirty years in the restaurant industry, including a restaurant in Hamburg Germany and a pub in Vancouver.

He strives to keep the legacy of not only the Gasthaus, but Werner and Joerg's passion alive. Gasthaus on the Lake has been serving the community for over 30 years. We are proud to have become a staple in the community and look forward to many more years of serving our customers.
